Gathering 2006
 Speakers

Moire Tangye (Cornwall)

Moire, a resident of Cornwall for over 40 years, is a Bard of the Cornish Corsedd. She is well known to California Cornish Cousins, having first visited them in 1993. She was a member of the Cornish-American Connection Project in the 1990's and began collecting personal letters from American immigrants to their families back in Cornwall as a part of that project. The letters provide an intimate glimpse of the 19th Century Cornish migration. She will be speaking after the Banquet on Saturday night.

Roger Showley (San Diego, CA)

Roger is an award-winning staff writer for the San Diego Union Tribune as well as the author of several books. He is an expert on Balboa Park--one of San Diego's premiere showplaces and a genuine California treasure. He will address the Gathering after breakfast Saturday morning as a prelude to the day's highlight event: A Guided tour of Balboa Park.
